Lehigh Valley was shut out by Indianapolis, 4-0.  Phillippe Aumont lasted 3.0 innings and gave up 3 runs in the first inning.  The damage could have been less or even avoided but for a wild pitch with runners on first and second and nobody out.  He allowed 6 hits and walked two on 76 pitches.  The offense only managed 6 hits.  Maikel Franco played first and went 1 for 4.  Dom Brown and Tommy Joseph went hitless. Lehigh Valley beat Durham, 4-2.  Chad Billingsley allowed 5 hits and a walk while striking out 6 through 5.2 innings.  Lehigh’s only error led to 2 unearned runs.  Maikel Franco had the day off.  Dom Brown had 2 hits (.182) and 2 RBIs.  Tommy Joseph returned to the starting line up and went 1-4. Lehigh Valley lost 3-1 to the Durham Bulls.  Paul Clemens gave up 2 runs on three hits and 5 walks while striking out nine.  But it took him 89 pitches to complete 4.0 innings.  Maikel Franco went 1-4 and is hitting .333.  Rene Garcia went 1-3 and is hitting .278.  Looks like he might warrant more starts behind the plate. Lehigh Valley threw a bullpen game at Buffalo and won 3-1.  Phillippe Aumont (1.06 ERA) pitched 5.0 shut out innings allowing 3 hits, NO walks, and struck out two.  The bullpen had varying degrees of success, but allowed only one earned run, and picked up 3 holds and a save.  Darin Mastroianni had a 3-hit game.  Maikel Franco went hitless, but Tommy Joseph was 1 for 3 with a double.
