Bryson Stott

Name: Bryson Stott

Started the season on the 2022 opening day roster but was optioned after twelve games.  He was recalled on April 25th and started at shortstop in May while Didi Gregorius was on the injured list.  He slid over to second base when Gregorius returned and Jean Segura went on the IL.  He remained on the roster through the end of the season and playoffs.

Stott batted .234/.295/.358/.653 for the 2022 season but rose to the occasion when he took over the shortstop position full-time.  He posted a .286/.338/.418/.756 slash with a .358 BAbip as the starting shortstop from August 4th through the end of the regular season.  His ABs were punctuated with exceptional pitch recognitional and plate discipline.
