Career Synopsis: Astudillo was second in the SAL w/.333 BA in 2014, 1st in the FSL w/.314 BA in 2015.  Led the world with riduculously low K/9 both seasons.  51 K in 1537 AB during 6-year minor league career in organization.  Declared FA after 2015 season and signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves.

 

Summary: Posted a career .318/.360/.403/762 in minors.  Played several positions during his career – all 4 infield, all 3 outfield, and catcher.  Used often as a DH when not on the field, not very often as a PH (0-3 with a walk in 4 appearances in 2015).  Sat out 2013 season with a leg (knee?) injury.  Best suited at catcher (IMO), doesn’t really have the power to profile at any of the corners if not playing catcher.  Led Threshers’ catchers with a 40% CS rate in 2015.
