Lehigh Valley lost to Columbus, 6-2.  Joely Rodriguez allowed 2 runs in 7.0 quality innings.  IronPig pitchers issued no walks during the game.  Jason Berken came on in relief in a tie game and gave up the go-ahead runs.  Maikel Franco went 2-4 with his 4th home run.  Dom Brown went 1-4 with a double, but was picked off second.  The ‘Pigs managed only two other hits.  Miny Mart is a member of the Clippers.  At .165, it appears he can’t hit at AAA either. Lehigh Valley lost to Gwinnett, 5-1.  Adam Morgan pitched well through 7.0 innings.  He struck out 2 batters in the top of the 8th, but a Tommy Joseph passed ball put a runner on first.  After a walk, Morgan’s night was over, but not his line.  Seth Rosin allowed both inherited runners to score as well as two of his own.  Maikel Franco went 1 for 4 and now has a base hit in 23 of the 28 games in which he has played. Lehigh Valley walked off against Gwinnett, 4-3.  Phillippe Aumont pitched shutout ball for 6.0 innings.  But, Hector Neris ran into trouble in the ninth and Colton Murray ended up blowing the save on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.  He picked up the win on Brian Bogusevic’s 2-run double in the bottom of the inning.  Maikel Franco went 3-4 with his 12th double and 3rd home run.  Dom Brown went 1-4 and is up to .233. Lehigh Valley lost to Indianapolis, 6-2.  Maikel Franco went hitless, but reached on a fielder’s choice in the top of the first inning.  He moved to third on Dom Brown’s only hit of the day, a single.  As part of a double steal, Franco stole home.  Paul Clemens promptly gave the run back.  His wild pitch helped insure the run would score.  A couple innings later, he allowed two inning opening walks to scored.  He lasted 4.1 innings, and threw 85 pitches (48 strikes/37 balls).  Tommy Joseph suffered through another oh-fer and is how at .140 roughly 100 points below Rene Garcia. Lehigh Valley managed a come from ahead loss against Indianapolis, 6-5.  Adam Morgan  only given up 3 runs on 10 hits in his 6.0 innings.  He left with a 5-3 lead.  He was still the pitcher of record going into the bottom of the ninth.  Hector Neris blew the save and the game.  The batter he walked in the inning ultimately became the winning run.  Maikel Franco went 2 for 4, and stole his first base of the season.
