Lehigh Valley lost to Columbus, 6-2. Joely Rodriguez allowed 2 runs in 7.0 quality innings. IronPig pitchers issued no walks during the game. Jason Berken came on in relief in a tie game and gave up the go-ahead runs. Maikel Franco went 2-4 with his 4th home run. Dom Brown went 1-4 with a double, but was picked off second. Lehigh Valley lost to Gwinnett, 9-1. Seve Gonzalez pitched well for 5.0 innings. Unfortunately he was in for 5.1 and came apart at the seams in the sixth. Maikel Franco went 1 for 4 in the 3-hole. Lehigh Valley lost to Gwinnett, 5-1. Adam Morgan pitched well through 7.0 innings. He struck out 2 batters in the top of the 8th, but a Tommy Joseph passed ball put a runner on first. After a walk, Morgan’s night was over, but not his line. Seth Rosin allowed both inherited runners to score as well as two of his own. But, Hector Neris ran into trouble in the ninth and Colton Murray ended up blowing the save on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly. Lehigh Valley lost to Indianapolis, 6-2. Maikel Franco went hitless, but reached on a fielder’s choice in the top of the first inning. He moved to third on Dom Brown’s only hit of the day, a single. As part of a double steal, Franco stole home. Paul Clemens promptly gave the run back. His wild pitch helped insure the run would score. A couple innings later, he allowed two inning opening walks to scored. He lasted 4.1 innings, and threw 85 pitches (48 strikes/37 balls).
