Threshers Recap – 7/21/2019

Former Phillies’ prospect, Zach Green, made his major league debut with the San Francisco Giants Sunday.  He went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI.  Good for Zach.

Clearwater (15-17, 51-47)  lost to St. Lucie, 6-3.

Andrew Brown pitched five innings and allowed 2 runs on 5 hits.  He walked one and struck out two.  Omar Marcelino went two innings and gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks.  Michael Gomez gave up a run on 2 hits in one inning of work. Continue reading Threshers Recap – 7/21/2019

Open Discussion: Week of July 22nd

Former Phillies’ pitcher, Roy Halladay, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown on Sunday.  I spoke with Roy briefly at a bingo fund raiser for his boys’ little league organization that his wife Brandy had organized with several other mothers of participating youngsters.  It was the only time I ever spoke with Roy.
