Threshers Recap – 7/30/2019

Just a few random things before the recaps.

Tuesday, Trenton completed a suspended game from May 30th.  They trailed 6-0 when the game was halted.  They completed and lost the seven inning game.  No big deal, right?  Unless you’re Reading.  Trenton and Reading finished the first half tied.  Because the Thunder played 2 less games, they had a better winning percentage.  But, this loss changes their first half record, and the finished a half game behind Reading.   Not too late to do the right thing Eastern League. Threshers Recap – 7/29/2019

DJ Jefferson made his professional debut.  He threw a scoreless, 1-2-3 inning against the other Phillies GCL team.  Jefferson was a non-drafted free agent signed out of Desert Oasis High School this summer.  He exhibited a strong arm today.  The father of one of our other HS pitchers commented that the ball comes out of Jefferson’s hand so smooth.
