“C” Randolph was your selection as the #10 prospect in the Phillies’ organization. Randolph won a close race with Scott Kingery by 10 votes.  Randolph received 118 votes (39%) while Kingery received 108 votes (36%).   Kevin Gowdy finished a distant third with 19 votes.  Nineteen of the twenty prospects listed on the poll received votes. Dylan Cozens was your selection as the #9 prospect in the Phillies’ organization. 2017 Top 30 Additional Prospects Poll Results

This worked much better than I could have hoped.  Readers cast 4118 votes for over 70 prospects.  The polling software does not allow all features without an upgrade, so I can’t say how many ballots were cast.  However, from random monitoring and SWAG I think that 215-220 ballots might be a good guesstimate.

Sixto Sanchez was your selection as the #7 prospect in the Phillies’ organization. Sanchez garnered 56 of the votes.  Dylan Cozens (15%) edged Rhys Hoskins for second place by 2 votes.

Phillies Acquire RHP Clay Buchholz

Yesterday, the Phillies traded a minor league infielder to the Boston Red Sox for veteran RHP Clay Buchholz.  The Phillies will assume the final, $13.5M year of the pitcher’s contract.  To acquire Buchholz, the Phillies relquished former Florida third baseman, Josh Tobias.  To make room on their 40-man roster, they DFA-ed recent waiver claim 3B Richie Shaffer. Nick Williams was your selection as the #5 prospect in the Phillies’ organization.  Williams garnered 40% of the votes, another plurality rather than a majority.  Sixto Sanchez finished a distant second with 23%.  Franklyn Kilome (19%) finished  third ahead of a fading field.
