The Phillies reached the All-Star break in third place in the NL East Division.  Three games into the second half, they have dropped a 3-game series to the lowly Chicago Cubs.  AT HOME.  WITH THEIR ROTATION PROPERLY RESTED.  They have dropped to a 49-46 record and are at least a full game behind the St. Louis Cardinals for the third wild card.  Continue reading Halfway Plus Three →

Tuesday, the Phillies start a two-game series in Canada against the Toronto Blue Jays.  Canada still has travel restrictions in place that prevent unvaccinated people from entering their country.  It will be interesting to see who among the Phillies’ active roster cannot make the trip.
