The Threshers began the day alone in first place in the FSL North Division. They beat the Lakeland Flying Tigers 7-3 in a regular nine inning game. The win raised their record to 7-3 and they remained in sole possession of first place in their division.

Threshers Win on Astudillo’s Walk Off; April 11, 2015
The Threshers beat the Blue Jays in a game that featured a pitching duel between their respective pitching staffs. They won the game 2-1 on a 2-out, RBI single by Willians Astudillo in the eleventh inning.
The teams used a combined eight pitchers who scattered 18 hits and 3 walks while striking out 15 batters. Domonic Brown was given the night off after going 0-4 with 3 Ks in the first two games of the series. Michael Saunders started in left field and led off for the Jays and scored their only run in the first inning.

Threshers Win on the Road in Dunedin, 2-0; April 10, 2015
The Threshers rebounded from their season opening home loss against the Dunedin Blue Jays by beating them in their own home opener. The payback didn’t come easy as the Threshers were no-hit through 5 innings and scored their first run without benefit of a hit. But fortunaetly they scored enough to reward David Whitehead with a win for the solid effort he produced. Lee Ridenhour was perfect in a set-up role, and Ulises Joaquin persevered to save the victory.

Threshers Drop Home Opener 5-2; April 9, 2015
The Threshers opened the 2015 season with a home loss to the Dunedin Blue Jays. The game featured two rehabbing major leaguers, Michael Saunders as DH for the Blue Jays and Domonic Brown in RF for the Threshers. Neither figured in the scoring.
These are not the Matt Boyd/Dalton Pompey/Dwight Smith Blue Jays that were so dominant in the FSL last season. But they have restocked with prospects Mitch Nay (#11), Dawel Lugo (#18), and Matthew Dean (#19) who each hit opposite field home runs. Pitcher Jairo Labourt (#13) stymied the Threshers thru the first four innings before tiring in the fifth and sixth innings. Threshers Close Home Schedule With 8-2 Loss; August 28, 2014
The Threshers finished their home schedule with a loss to the Tampa Yankees that lowered their home record to 21-51. With three road games in Lakeland this weekend they can improve on their 25-38 road record. Tonight, Colin Kleven got the start. The big righty has been effective this season. He came into the game with the fourth lowest walks per 9 innings in the FSL with 29 walks in 130.2 innings for a ratio of 2.0 walks per game.
The first batter Kleven faced seemed to set the pattern for his evening. The lead off batter worked an 8-pitch at bat before lining a double to center field. Kleven would continue to run deep counts through the first two innings. At the conclusion of the second inning, he had already thrown 42 pitches to nine batters.
