  1. I wonder if the AZ fall league should start in December. Seems like these guys need a little bit more of a break before it starts.

  2. I finally watched the all star game last night that I had recorded last weekend. I could easily see why Dom Brown is making errors in the OF. He really didn’t look that coordinated out there. He looked long and gangly and didn’t ever seem smooth even fielding base hits or routinr flys. I’m sure he’ll improve with hard work but he needs work. With his hitting results in the AFL combined with how he fields, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay at Reading all year to allow him to develop. I question how much baseball he’s played in his life, being a star football player.

  3. Nope, just a championship game… that includes Phoenix Desert Dogs (OAK, BAL, TB, TOR, WSH) and Peoria Javelinas (MIL, SEA, CWS, DET, LAD). This game will be aired on MLB network.

  4. Glad it’s ending. It seems Brown is more than ready for winter. He’s had a very long season and is probably mentally exhausted. Physically too, I guess.

  5. Cisco pitched pretty well today, tossing four scoreless innings and allowing 2 walks and 1 hit while striking out 1. The only thing I’m disappointed in is that he once again pitched at “home” — i.e. Scottsdale’s ballpark, which doesn’t have PitchFX. I’d assume that’ll be his last appearance in the AFL, and we didn’t get a chance to see what kind of stuff he has. Bummer.

  6. Regarding Brown, this is interesting:

“With that in mind, General Manager Ruben Amaro could make a flurry of one-year signings, designed to win in 2010, or he could make one or two big moves designed to start a new core group, which would eventually include Domonic (*NFP: DOMONIC IS SPELLED RIGHT, HE’S JUST AN IDIOT*) Brown, Michael Taylor and Kyle Drabek, who are all tearing up the minors.” (verbatim, from the Bucks Local News)

Apparently it is Domonic, according to MLB.com, anyway.
