Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/13/2021)

Lehigh Valley got a quality start from a pitcher making his Triple-A debut.  Reading got blown out.  Jersey Shore made it interesting at the end.  Clearwater dropped two.  The FCL Phillies used the long-ball (and a few rehabbers) to win their first game in weeks.  And, the DSL teams each swept a doubleheader with their top prospects each returning for a couple at bats. Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/12/2021)

There were three games on Thursday.  All losses.  Lehigh Valley lost big but Bailey Falter had a successful first rehab.  Reading got blown out and Seranthony Dominguez didn’t respond well to a couple bad breaks.  Jersey Shore lost.  The FCL Phillies weren’t scheduled, but there’s a rumor that they may play Friday on the road.  Both DSL teams were rained out.  Continue reading Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/12/2021)

Only two games yesterday.  Lehigh Valley got a great start from Mark Appel on their way to beating one of the top teams in their division again.  Reading was rained out.  Jersey Shore rallied in the ninth to win on the road.  Clearwater was rained out.  And, the FCL Phillies and DSL teams weren’t scheduled. Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/10/2021)

Lehigh Valley whooped Scranton.  Reading and Jersey Shore lost.  Clearwater added a few draft picks to the roster and beat the division leader.  FCL Phillies was cancelled, again, but with players returning as draft picks are activated maybe they’ll be able to field a team soon.  DSL Red won and DSL White was suspended while leading. Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/8/2021)

Not so clever today.  Everybody lost again.  Lehigh Valley’s pitchers got pounded again after Adonis Medina was perfect for the first three innings.  Reading managed to score a run but lost by one again.  Jersey Shore was suspended in the top of the third tied.  Clearwater’s kids lost by two touchdowns.  The FCL Phillies and the DSL teams are not scheduled to play on Sundays.  Continue reading Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/8/2021)

Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/7/2021)

Everybody lost, but who cares?  The Phillies beat the Mets again!  Well, we care.  About both.  Lehigh Valley’s pitchers just got pounded.  Reading was shut out on 3 hits and lost by one.  Jersey Shore lost by two.  Clearwater’s kids dropped two, getting one-hit in the first game.  The FCL Phillies were cancelled.  And, the DSL Phillies tried to play two against each other.  White won the suspended game and the second game was suspended. Lehigh Valley won a game in OT that they had in hand earlier.  Reading won but new guy Crouse didn’t figure in the decision, though he pitched well.  Jersey Shore was shut out, bu Seranthony Dominguez pitched an inning.  Clearwater’s kids were bested.  The FCL Phillies were scheduled off.  And, the DSL teams split, again. Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (8/4/2021)

Everybody who played won last night.  And, they all held their opponents to one run each and 15 collective hits.  Lehigh Valley won easily.  Reading victory was a little less secure but almost as easy.  And, Jersey Shore came from behind to post a one-run win.  Clearwater was rained out.  The FCL Phillies were cancelled again due to COVID.  And, the DSL doesn’t schedule games on Wednesday.
