Updated Roster Information as We Go into Manfred’s Lockout

2021 Org Rates – BB% and K% (Pitchers)

For pitchers, walk and strikeout rates are arrived at by dividing walks and strikeouts by batters faced (BB%=BB/BF and K%-K/BF).  The percentages throughout the Phillies’ organization will be listed below.  (This has been a work in progress.  The recently departed players have been struck through rather than removed. 2021 Rule 5 Protections and a Little More

In a major upset, the Phillies announced the players they would add to their 40-man roster well in advance of the 6:00 PM deadline.  These players will be protected from the Rule 5 draft that is scheduled to be held on the last day of the winter meetings.  If one is held. 2021 Jersey Shore BlueClaws

Jersey Shore (nee Lakewood, Low-A) is our affiliate in the High-A East League.  Jersey Shore will be in the 5-team North Division with the Aberdeen IronBirds (Orioles), Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets), Hudson Valley Renegades (Yankees), and Wilmington Blue Rocks (Nationals).

The High-A League will test the new rule that requires a pitcher to step off the rubber to attempt a pickoff.

2021 Lehigh Valley IronPigs

The Phillies Triple-A affiliate remains in Allentown but will play in the new, 20-team Triple-A East League.  The new league is comprised of three divisions.  The IronPigs are in the Northeast Division with the Buffalo Bisons (Blue Jays), Rochester Red Wings (Nationals), Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Yankees), Syracuse Mets (Mets), and Worcester Red Sox (Red Sox). 2021 Reading Fightin’ Phils

The Phillies Double-A affiliate remains in Reading but will play in the new, 12-team Double-A Northeast League.  The new league includes eleven of the former teams from the old Eastern League.  The Trenton Thunder are replaced by the Somerset Patriots. Continue reading 2021 Reading Fightin’ Phils
