Reader Top 30, #27

Jacob Diekman takes #26 with some ease yesterday, with Julian Sampson and Matt Spencer picking up some steam. We’re almost finished, and I wanted to thank everyone for coming every day and voting, and I hope you guys stick around and continue the positive discussions going forward.  So, let’s do #27 today

01. Carrasco
02. Cardenas
03. Savery
04. Costanzo
05. Outman
06. Carpenter
07. Marson
08. Donald
09. Drabek
10. Happ
11. Harman
12. Golson
13. Jaramillo
14. E Garcia
15. Brown
16. Bastardo
17. Bisenius
18. Berry
19. Myers
20. d’Arnaud
21. Naylor
22. Galvis
23. Correa
24. Mattair
25. Bolt
26. Diekman

And here’s a reminder for the eligibilty

For the purpose of this poll, consider “eligibility” to be less than 50 AB/25 games for a position player, and less than 25 IP/20 games as a pitcher.

So, here is where a few other guys stand

Mathieson: 37 IP. Not eligible
Zagurski: 25 G. Not eligible

  1. I’ll go Sampson.

BTW – great love for the site in Keith Law’s chat today:

“Ryan (Philly): Is Josh Outman of the Phillies a legit prospect? When do you see him contributing at the major league level and in what capacity?

Keith Law: (1:52 PM ET ) I did a Q&A with the Phuture Phillies Web site a few weeks ago, and here’s what I said about Outman: “Outman has some arm strength, but otherwise he’s pretty raw. His secondary stuff is inconsistent and his control is below-average. He’s the sort of guy you love to have in the organization because he’s left-handed, has a good arm and if everything clicks he’s a mid-rotation starter.”

  2. Brauer doesn’t seem to be getting much love, so I’ll throw my support to the Mitchinson camp for the time being.

  3. I guess I’d rather have Sampson over Byrd, – but scott mitchinson? well, I guess he had comparable success to Byrd, I just think he’s getting votes for numbers over ability right now.

    Sampson
