Box Score Recap – 7/21/2016

Will Morris teased Threshers’ fans with a perfect game into the sixth inning.  He walked two batters with two out in the inning and took his no-no into the seventh.  A one-out HR ended both the no-hitter and the shutout.  He completed the inning and turned the final two innings over to the bullpen. He finished with a combined two-hitter.

Bailey Falter tossed six shutout innings for Williamsport.  He struck out ten and walked one, but didn’t figure in the decision.

Offensively, Rhys hit another home run, his 27th.

Falter and Ortiz Lead de Armas’ Team to XST Win; April 29, 2016

The Phillies traveled to the Blue Jays Spring Training Complex to play a pair of XST games today.  Bailey Falter started for Coach Roly de Armas and provided three solid, shutout innings.  Enger Jimenez had a couple RBIs.  And Jhailyn Ortiz picked up a couple of outfield assists as the Phillies won 5-1. XST at the Complex; April 18th, 2016

I felt well enough today to venture over to the Carpenter Complex for a few innings of live baseball.  I was rewarded with 5 innings of Bailey Falter and Nick Fanti for my effort.

The XST groups have been working out for almost two weeks now.  They began playing games last Monday.  Today was the first time I was able to make it to the Complex since ST broke around April 1st. Continue reading XST at the Complex; April 18th, 2016
