Clearwater (14-15, 50-45)  postponed.

Lehigh Valley (47-48)  lost to Gwinnett, 11-2.  

Tyler Viza gave up 6 runs in 2.2 innings.  Tom Windle tossed 1.1 scoreless. Connor Brogdon pitched two, no-hit, scoreless innings.  Yacksel Rios gave up 5 runs in 1.1 innings.  Andrew Romine was asked to get the final two outs in a bases loaded situation and did, although he walked in one of 3 inherited runners. Threshers Recap – 7/15/2019

A lot of brass was in town today.  So was Italian LHP Samuel Aldegheri and his family. He was here for his physical.  It was cool seeing Sal Agostinelli acting as interpreter.

There were 3x as many scouts as normal.  I don’t know who they were hear to see or what was being given away.

Threshers Recap – 7/14/2019

Damon Jones made his debut with Lehigh Valley.  Austin Listi slugged a HR.  Seth McGarry threw five good innings for Reading.  Alec Bohm homered and Mickey Moniak added a couple extra base hits.  Spencer Howard impressed in his start in Clearwater.  Bryson Stott homered in his first plate appearance at a new level, again.  Erik Miller and Adam Leverett also made their debuts in Williamsport. Threshers Recap – 7/13/2019

Clearwater (14-12, 50-42)  dropped a double header to Florida, 5-2 and 3-0.

There were a few transactions of note.  LHP Damon Jones assigned to Lehigh Valley, RHP Connor Seabold rehabbed in Clearwater, LHP Bailey Falter placed on the 7-day IL, Alec Bohm activated from the TIL, CF Mickey Moniak activated from the 7-day IL, and C Abrahan Gutierrez activated from the 7-day IL.

Threshers Recap – 7/10/2019

Clearwater (13-9, 49-39)  game with Palm Beach suspended in the fourth inning with the Threshers leading, 3-1.  Game will be completed Thursday as part of a double header.

Tyler Carr opened with 4 consecutive strike outs and went on to post 3.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K.  The Threshers scored their runs in the third inning on Dalton Guthrie’s RBI single and Danny Mayer’s 2-run single. Continue reading Threshers Recap – 7/10/2019
