Several Phillies had “a day” today. Nola looked sharp striking out 9 in 5.1 innings. He allowed one hit, a second-inning home run by the 2020 first overall pick Spencer Torkelson. It wasn’t your garden variety two-strike HR as the two battled to a 3-2 count and the HR came on the 11th pitch of the at bat. Day 96 of Manfred’s lockout. Meetings in Florida came to a halt early last week, but a smaller group of the lead negotiators began meetings again Thursday in New York.
