The biggest news today was that Mickey Moniak was removed from the GCL game with a possible injury. He left under his own power and seemed to be okay. That story was covered in this report. During the game, Kevin Gowdy threw live batting practice on adjacent Schmidt Field. He did so under the watchful eye of Ray Burris. Lehigh Valley (48-36) Beat Charlotte, 8-7 in 13 innings. The IronPigs scored single runs in the bottom of the ninth and tenth innings to tie the game and finally won on Nick Williams RBI single. The ‘Pigs tied the game in the ninth on Cedric Hunter’s RBI single, and in the tenth on Logan Moore’s third home run.

Look for “C” Randolph to rejoin the BlueClaws next week. He was overheard behind the cage saying that he would join the team on the road in Delmarva. Lehigh Valley (45-32) Beat Durham, 3-2 in 10 innings. The IronPigs tied the game on a two-out, RBI single in the ninth inning. They went ahead in the tenth on David Lough’s RBI ground out and Logan Moore’s RBI double. The extra run came in handy when Edward Mujica loaded the bases with one out and Tahylor Featherston committed a run scoring error. Former IronPig J.P.
