The good news is that only one of the affiliates was no-hit last night. And, that was because they were rained out. Bazinga.
Lehigh Valley swept a doubleheader. Darick Hall (.294/.362/.706/1.068, 9 HR, 28 RBI, 1.000 Fld% in 159 chances) hit 3 HR and 2 doubles. Reading and Jersey Shore both lost scoring one run each. Clearwater was rained out.

They took the lead with 3 runs in the fifth on Peterson’s 2-run double and a wild pitch. They added 3 more insurance runs in the sixth on a solo HR by Bryson Stott and a 2-run HR by Hall. Reading (6-13) lost to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 2-1. link
Adam Leverett (1-3, 6.05) pitched five innings and gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He walked none and struck out seven. Both runs came on solo HRs in the fifth. Seems like leaving a pitcher in one inning too long is an organizational thing. Bazinga. Austin Ross (2.08) tossed two perfect innings striking out one. Julian Garcia (10.13) tossed an exciting inning walking two, hitting a batter, but escaping without allowing a run.
The Phils cut the lead to one run with a run in the sixth on a groundout. The Phils collected 6 hits and drew 4 walks, but went 0-7 with RISP. A caught stealing derailed their best chance to put up a crooked number in the sixth. A double play stunted another.

Rosters and Stuff
Not up to date, yet.
A bunch of pre-dated transactions appeared in early April assigning players to teams and/or IL lists. Those put on the 60-day IL will not count against the 180 player limit that goes into effect when Complex leagues start. Putting them on the 60 now means they can stay there until 60 days after they were assigned to the list or until such time after that 60-day date they are needed.
Some, like Tyler Phillips, have been added to the 60-day IL without a matching transaction. Another oddity is that a lot of these guys were on the 2022 Spring Training Roster and then the 2022 Extended Spring Training Roster.
Big loophole that makes it difficult to have current rosters until sometime in June.

The most disappointing start has to be by Jersey Shore where we have lots of prospects. We need them to pick it up.
Hall is really hitting the ball and has cut down on his swing and miss. However, he’s limited to 1b so only an injury to Hoskins would get him to the majors.
remember they do have the dh now, so he could be a solid pinch hitter, dh once a week and play 1b once a week?
Between Harper, Castellanos and Schwarber (not to mention Hoskins and Bohm) I think the DH spot is locked up for awhile. There’s no room for a Matt Stairs type on rosters anymore, and its not likely that Hall could even be that guy. He’ll eventually get a chance but probably with another org.
I saw the stat that Derrick Hall is 7th all time in Phillies MILB home runs. I tried to find list but couldn’t find it.
Any help with a link? Thx.
Denny…and I believe first in HBPs……his OBP has got a boost over the years from that.
So that’s where Josh Stephen went.
Van Scoyoc, Antle and Schulze – it stinks that those guys have missed so much time at the very start of their careers. Is Schulze due back this season? He avoided the 60-day list at least.
Hope the weather holds everywhere … Miller, Abel ann’s Painter scheduled to pitch today
