Lehigh Valley lost the series finale and settled for a split of their 6-game series.  Reading won Sunday to avoid a sweep.  But, Jersey Shore and Clearwater could not avoid the broom.  Matt Kroon, who left Saturday’s game with an apparent injury in the first inning after a failed steal attempt, was placed on the IL on Sunday by Reading. Everybody lost again last night although Lehigh Valley posted a win in their split with Columbus.  Abel and Painter made their initial starts for the season.  Both suffered the loss for their respective teams, though Painter was burned by an unearned run.
