There were just three games on Sunday, two losses and a blowout win. The teams go into their off day on Monday with a staggeringly poor combined record of 10-29.
Clearwater (1-8) lost to St. Lucie, 5-4.
The Threshers rallied to take a 4-2 lead in the fifth inning. However, too much game remained and they were overcome by the eighth inning.
Gunner Mayer pitched 4 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out five. Aiden Anderson pitched two innings and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. Cam Wynne took the loss giving up an unearned run in two innings on one hit and 2 walks.
The Threshers scored a run in the fourth inning on a solo HR by Jadiel Sanchez. They scored 3 runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Yhoswar Garcia and a 2-run single by Sanchez.
Jadiel Sanchez went 2-3 with a run scored, walk, HR, and 3 RBI. Odubel Herrera (.368) went 1-4 with 3 K. Sixteen Threshers struck out, each Thresher at least once.
Lehigh Valley (5-7) beat Worcester, 19-11. link
A nine-run sixth inning turned a 5-run deficit into a 4-run lead and the IronPigs continued to tack on through the remaining innings.
Michael Mariot pitched four innings and left trailing. He had given up 5 runs on 4 hits and a walk He struck out six. Kyle Dohy lasted 0.2 innings and gave up 3 runs on one hit and 3 walks. Joe Gatto stranded the runner he inherited and struck out the only batter he faced. Damon Jones pitched a clean inning striking out two. Connor Brogdon was also clean and struck out the side. Jeff Singer followed with his own clean inning and 2 strikeouts. Tyler Cyr gave up 3 runs in the ninth on 5 hits.
Gatto thru Singer were extremely dominant allowing no base runners and striking out eight in 3.1 innings.
The IronPigs built an early lead with Roman Quinn’s leadoff HR in the first and Jorge Bonifacio’s 2-run HR in the second. After falling behind 8-3, the IronPigs exploded for 9 runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Yairo Munoz, an RBI double by John Andreoli, a 2-run double by Bonifacio, a game-tying RBI single by Ronald Torreyes, a go-ahead bases-loaded walk to Donny Sands, and a 3-run double by Darick Hall. They tacked on 2 runs in the seventh on a fielding error, 2 runs in the eighth on RBI hits by Andreoli and Bonifacio, and 3 runs in the ninth on a bases-loaded walk to Bonifacio and RBI singles by Yairo Munoz and Edgar Cabral.
Quinn went 2-2, Hall went 3-5. The team combined for 19 hits and 9 walks.

Jersey Shore (1-8) lost to Brooklyn, 6-1. link
Christian McGowan pitched 3.1 innings and gave up 3 runs on 5 hits and a walk. He struck out four. He left the game with an apparent injury after striking out the leadoff batter in the fourth. Carlo Reyes gave up a run in two innings on 3 hits and a walk. He also struck out four. Carlos Francisco stranded 1 of 2 inherited runners and allowed 2 runs in 1.2 innings on one hit and 3 walks. Jason Ruffcorn pitched a scoreless inning.
The BlueClaws scored their run in the third inning on a fielding error. That collected just 4 hits including doubles by Nick Matera and DJ Stewart. Johan Rojas (9), Stewart, and Jared Carr stole bases. Nicolas Torres was caught.
