Lehigh Valley (2-0) remained undefeated as their game with the Columbus Clippers was postponed due to inclement weather.  The game will be made up Saturday as part of a doubleheader.  Game one starts at 4:05 PM.  The second game will begin at 6:35 PM or 30 minutes after the end of game one, whichever is later.  Both games will be seven innings.

Eleven IronPigs’ pitchers have seen action, and ten have not given up an earned run.  The one who has given up all 3 earned runs (Jake Hernandez) has also struck out five batters in his 1.2 innings.

Dalton Guthrie has 5 hits in 9 at bats (.556) and a walk.  The team has drawn 14 walks v. 16 strikeouts.

There was a lot of transaction activity as teams announced their opening day rosters.  The Phillies placed C Rafael Marchan on the 60-day IL to open a roster spot for SS Bryson Stott.  They to recalled CF Simon Muzziotti to replace injured CF Mickey Moniak.  These transactions were reported but haven’t been posted, yet.

A couple pitchers were assigned to Lehigh Valley and a slew of players were assigned to both Reading and Jersey Shore.

Lehigh Valley is over 35 players.  They are allowed to have 38 players on the roster with only 28 available on any given night for a game.  Other levels can have an unlimited number of players on their rosters but still only 28 are available for a game.  Players on the 60-day IL or on the RL (or some other special lists) do NOT count against the 38 player limit.  However, the 190 player limit remains in effect until the Rookie League games start, and then the limit is 180 players.
