Phillies Affiliates’ Recap (9/14/2021)
The IronPigs lost but Adam Haseley went 4-4. Reading won behind a strong start by Francisco Morales. Simon Muzziotti and Bryson provided all the offense he would need. Jersey Shore lost. Clearwater was rained out. The FCL Phillies lost, Malik Binns made his debut. Only Jose Valadez-Acuna has yet to make his debut from this year’s draft class. DSL Red lost and White was cancelled. Open Discussion: Week of September 12, 2021
This is the courtesy thread for comments and discussion about the Phillies and other BASEBALL topics.
The Phillies (72-71) went 2-5 going 1-2 against a superior Milwaukee team and going 1-3 against Colorado, one of the supposedly easy teams on their schedule. We lost the two games we picked up last week when Atlanta went 4-2 against the Mets and Marlins.
The Phillies have let the Mets back into the division race if you believe the Phillies are still in it.

There was a lot of good pitching last night. Three Lehigh Valley pitchers combined in a one-hit victory. Reading had the rest of their final homestand cancelled. Jersey Shore won on a 3-hitter as two Reading pitchers dropped down to get their work in. Luis Garcia had a productive game. Clearwater romped to a one-sided victory. Jared Carr had himself a night.
