  1. Thanks for including the indicator of the draft round or NDFA next to the first year player names.

    1. I second that by far, INCREDIBLY helpful to help the more casual followers learned the new prospects — thanks for all the great work!

  2. Christopher Sanchez might be a more of an asset than Moore or Jones. He pitched well last night in LHV 5 shutout innings threw 70 pitches with 7 strikeouts. Is he a better choice than any of those deficient arms at back of our bullpen.?

    1. I’d like to see him continue to pitch well. I’m not sure if he’d get enough consistent work/be trusted enough to get that consistent work at MLB level given his last two appearances and personally I think he needs the development. Also need to keep him stretched out given how thin we are at AAA. MAYBE he can get another try out as a bulk arm on Saturday in a bullpen game or if Ranger needs a piggy back moving forward.

    2. Sanchez is definitely better than Jones, but Sanchez is still walking a ton of guys. Not sure yet if Sanchez is a starter or reliever at the next level, but I’m leaning towards reliever.

    1. A few have … note the first comment above thanking Jim for putting draft status (NDFA or Round) for those that he comments on.

  3. Ortiz now with 22 HRs in 84 games this season….3 in his first 10 games @ Reading.
    ………..a .253 ISO

      1. No biggie….counting on another tonight vs the Rubber Duckies.
I have to look in SAVANT and see if they carry minor league data….and maybe list his total exit velo and distance.

  4. Logan O’Hoppe should be ranked among the Pharm’s best position player prospects. .267/.328/.472 with 13 HR and 7.7%/18.3% is solid for any 21-year-old in High A, but doing it as a catcher makes it way more impressive. Yet he doesn’t seem to be talked about at all by the folks at BA/Fangraphs. Am I missing something?

    1. Baseball America has him 7th on their midseason list behind only Stott, Rojas, and Wilson among hitting prospects.

      1. Nice. It’s good to know he’s getting more recognition. He was 25th on the MLB.com list and didn’t even make the Fangraphs Top 41.
