Our affiliates went 2-2 last night. Clearwater beat Dunedin behind solid pitching and some key hitting. Lehigh Valley lost in a walk-off. Reading got stomped. And, Jersey Shore supported some strong pitching with a walk-off of their own.

Our guys won one of four games last night, again. Clearwater was two-hit by and lost to Dunedin. Two Lehigh Valley pitchers were perfect through seven innings in a victory over Syracuse. Reading’s latest streak is up to two losses after losing an early lead against Akron. And, Jersey Shore was shut out by Winston-Salem.
The three lower affiliates scored two runs, suffered two shutouts, and collected 8 total hits.
(I couldn’t make it to the game for personal reasons. This is going to be short and sweet. Well, maybe not sweet.)

Just a terrible day for the affiliates. Clearwater lost to Fort Myers. Lehigh Valley was shut down by Scranton/Wilkes Barre. Reading found a new, dreadful way to lose their 7th consecutive game. Well, not that new. I’m pretty sure they followed a script from the Phillies’ Atlanta series. And, Jersey Shore dropped a close one to Wilmington.

Clearwater trounced the Mighty Mussels in a runaway victory. Lehigh Valley held on for a win over the RailRiders. Reading scored a handful of runs again but still lost their sixth game in a row. They hope to avoid a 6-game, series sweep tomorrow. And, Jersey Shore thumped the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

Back to one win for the affiliates. Clearwater rallied twice to beat the Mighty Mussels and even their record. Lehigh Valley lost another tough one to the RailRiders. Reading scored a handful of runs but still managed to lose by a half-dozen. And, Jersey Shore rallied in the eighth only to lose in ten. But, the Phillies beat a Toronto team that swept Atlanta. And, Vince pitched well.
