The Phillies took two out of three from the Dodgers and things looked great. Then they went to Cincinnati and dropped three of four. You can’t do that. Their margin for winning is too slim to waste an opportunity against one of the worst teams in the league. Now, on to Boston!

Clearwater Threshers Recap – 7/28/2018
The Clearwater Threshers (53-49) game against Lakeland was suspended in the fifth inning with the scored tied, 1-1. Andrew Brown (2.25) pitched four solid innings. He allowed one run on 4 hits and a walk. He struck out two. Jose Pujols hit his 18th HR and is one short of the Threshers’ record of 19 (set by Art Charles in 2015 and tied by Kyle Martinin in 2016), and 5 short of the franchise record of 23 by Ryan Howard (for the Clearwater Phillies). Pujols also had an outfield assist throwing a runner out at home.
