Ransom to Lehigh Valley, Bump to DL

Infielder Cody Ransom has cleared waivers and accepted his outright assignment to Lehigh Valley. Prior to his call up to the Phillies, Ransom was among the league leaders in HR and RBI in the International League and should help the stagnant Lehigh Valley offense. With Ransom, Mayberry, and the rehabbing Shane Victorino in the Lehigh Valley lineup there should be a new dynamic, at least for the next few days in Allentown.

Making room for Ransom the ‘Pigs placed starting pitcher Nate Bump on the DL.  Bump, who was an International League All Star has struggled to return from Lyme’s disease, going 2 innings and giving up a run on 5 hits in his last start.

  1. Maybe a win or 2 will happen for the Pigs over the next few days given the new additions. Not holding my breath tho
