The first week of 2018 was another quiet hot stove week for Phillies fans.

The Phillies finally announce some previously reported transactions and extend a first round of invitations to major league spring training.

The Phillies signed an 18-year old New Zealand pitcher.

Several young Phillies prospects attended the Rookie Career Development Program.

A Phillies big leaguer got in to trouble during the winter league playoffs.

Medina received 127 of 259 votes (49%).  Franklyn Kilome finished second (38 votes, 15%). Haseley received 113 of 272 votes (42%). Adonis Medina finished second (72 votes, 26%). Jhailyn Ortiz was your selection as the #4 prospect in the Phillies’ organization.

Crawford had been the Readers’ top prospect the past three years.  This year, Crawford was the overwhelming choice as the third best prospect in the organization.  He garnered 222 of 285 votes (78%).  Jhailyn Ortiz finished second (14, 5%).  Jorge Alfaro and Adam Haseley tied for third with 11 votes each (4%).  Eleven other players shared the remaining 27 votes.
