  1. Wilson, it seems, dropped a one out fly ball in the inning. Abel got knocked around after that but something like that changes the entire complexion of the inning.

  2. I saw Herbert Iser catch via MiLBTV last week for JS and he looked good hitting, didn’t have any defensive analysis. Due to LHV catchers going on IL he was promoted to Reading. Last night he had two hits including a home run, he had two RBIs. Any thoughts on him?

    1. Denny……the other day you referenced Steve Potter and for awhile there was a link to that site. Is that no longer available or am I missing where it is?

  3. I’m thinking about going to the reading Phils game on Thursday. Was hoping to see McGarry, Painter or Abel. Looks like it won’t be McGarry, he’s throwing tonight. Any idea who will be Thursday’s starter vs Portland?

    1. You won’t see Abel or Painter at the Reading game as they are still with Jersey Shore. Unless they get the call soon.. you will have to hope to catch Mcarry

  4. Good Lord a pitcher named Leman came in for Harrisburg and I thought our “Leman.” My bad…

    1. Painter’s career minor league numbers are sheer dominance. It’s almost laughable at this point. Not sure why he’s still at JS. The Blue Jays already promoted Ricky Tiedemann to AA, and Painter’s numbers are just as good as his.

  5. Just got back from the Jersey Shore game. Painter was thoroughly dominant. He comes straight over the top with an easy, repeatable delivery. He pitched seven relatively stress-free innings and was in command throughout. Displayed solid command of both his fastball [95 – 97] and slider [83-84]. The best Phillies minor league pitching prospect I’ve seen since Cole Hamels. Without question, he is the Real Deal.

P.S. All of the hits he gave up we weak contact.

  6. I am reluctant to offer this discordant note, but Logan O’Hoppe has 7 hits, 4 of them HRs. Waiting for Marsh before I rush to judgement. But…
