Sorry, our ISP crapped out last night.  With the extra time, the story on one game became very detailed.

Lehigh Valley won as Francisco Morales earned a win in his first Triple-A  appearance.  Reading blew a 5-run lead and lost.  Jersey Shore lost again.  At 11-22, they have a .333 winning percentage.  And, Clearwater split a doubleheader. They had a blow-out win and a 2-hit loss.  The Threshers are scheduled off tonight (local HS using the field for graduation).  So, only three games tonight. Four games, five outcomes in games last night.  Lehigh Valley trounced Rochester behind Bailey Falter’s fine, one-hit innings.  Reading fell behind big early and stayed behind.  Jersey Shore fell behind big and rallied back but couldn’t stay close.  And, Clearwater completed a suspended game from May 1st, needing just one inning to win, and lost a game they gifted to the opposition by committing 4 errors and allowing 3 unearned runs. Our teams made up a couple rainouts on Sunday, pushing the day’s games to six.  We won five of the games, four by close scores.  Lehigh Valley split a pair.  Reading swept, pulling within a game of .500.  Jersey Shore won behind a solid effort by Ben Brown.  And, Clearwater powered to a shutout victory with four home runs. All four affiliated teams went to extra innings last night.  We won two, lost two.  Lehigh Valley provided very little support for their pitchers as they lost their first extra inning game of the season.  Reading was involved in a shootout and won their first extra inning game after three previous losses in extra frames.  Jersey Shore lost a pitchers’ duel and their first extra inning game.  And, Clearwater rallied after blowing a 4-run lead in the nunth to win their second extra inning game of the season. The Phillies’ affiliates went 3-1 last night.  Lehigh Valley used seven pitchers in a relatively easy win.  Reading coasted to a big win.  Jersey Shore couldn’t overcome three early home runs.  And, Clearwater handled their opponent with the debut of a 2021 award winner.
