As speculated, something wasn’t right with Reading reliever BJ ROsenberg, and it was specifically his right lat. Rosenberg has been hit hard in both outings this season, and his last three if the exhibition against the “Pigs is included. He was placed on the DL today with a right lat strain according to Reading Phillies Media Relations Director Tommy Viola. Schwimer and Stutes should be seeing most if not all save situations for the time being I would think.

A pitcher who has done well in that role at Clearwater is Jon Velazquez. My guess is , he moves up to Reading , Luke Wertz from Lakewood to Clearwater, Ebelin Lugo from XST to Lakewood. If there is a hoped for speedy recovery for Rosenberg, maybe it doesn’t reshuffle the same as before.

Phils often move organizational guys around.
They could move Romero’s rehab to Reading, they could promote Brummett who is one of the older pitchers if he’s healthy, or they could promote Kissock or Sterner, who aren’t really considered prospects at this point.

I think Romero will stay in Clearwater with the slightly warmer weather. Evenings and nights up north have had a lot of radiational cooling. In my neck of the woods, we get frost at night and high 60s to 70 during the day. But it cools fast around dusk.
