    1. That is big time. I hope the fans take advantage and check them out. They won’t be there next season. Heck, I’m not even sure they’ll be there in September.

  1. Muzzioti continues to hit. We have so few position players to be excited about but he is finally hitting. I can’t imagine Ricketts will stay at CWater too long but they did just move Nava up.
Does Schultz have a chance to be something?

    1. Schultz has a big arm and had closer potential coming out of the draft. Not sure the state of his breaking ball now but control was his issue previously.

He had a dominant stretch there for JS so I’m glad he’s getting the chance to move up the ladder now. He could be in play for a ML bullpen job sometime next year.

  2. Rafael Marchan is 8-17 with 7 rbi’s in last 5 games. Happy to be #1 catching prospect again.

    1. His walk and strikeout numbers are characteristically strong and he’s had a big increase in XBHs this year. Just hoping the BA starts to climb and his overall line will look really nice.

  3. Caleb Ricketts (.615) went 2-4 for Threshers, he is 22, drafted out of college this year; promotion yet?

    1. He seems to be fishing well on low A pitching.
Probably one of the older ones in the league also.
I am sure they will want to see how he does against hi-A pitching before the FIL begins.

    1. he appears to be ok because he just posted an article with an interview with an undrafted free agent, but yeah the daily recaps have not been there

  4. I don’t know if there’s anything there but Tristan Garnett has great numbers with Clearwater. He’s big (6’6″) and lefthanded but also 24. I believe he was an UDFA signed last year.

  5. liphil – O’Hoppe is one for six with two walks in two games.

Brown has yet to make an appearance.

    1. I’m watching too. I noticed he works in the upper strike zone with heat. They were saying stadium gun shows low 90’s (91-93) but it is considered slow and should be 93 – 96, either way it is still fast and good. Control is decent with a 3 walks and a hits batter which is not great. But he has a knee buckling breaking pitch which looked awesome. And when his pitches were not hitting the strike zone he was not far off

      1. Good analysis. Marcus Lee Sang is also looking great; 2 hrs, double and singles, Herbert Iser, C is surprising tonight.

          1. Yes he looked good. Hope he can finally put it together, he has been with us since 2017.

            1. He kept having injury set backs. So he was not getting a solid couple of months of consistent playing time.

  6. Erubiel Armenta relieved and didn’t look good again. He was great last year in low ball but talent caught up to him.

  7. Painter completed the 2nd game of doubleheader. JS won 2-0, Painter 79, 56 strikes, pitches 2 hit shutout, 1 BB, 11 Ks. 1 hour 25 minute game. He will be a stud.
