I was at the ball park when news of the Phillies’ deal with Harper began to trickle through the crowd of 3800 people.  Voices got higher as excitement rose while word passed by word of mouth.  Then it got eerily quiet, even for such a sparse crowd.  I looked around and every fan over 12 and under 60 had his/her cell phone out, checking the veracity of the rapidly spreading rumor.  Within moments, the noise returned.
