Lehigh Valley threw a bullpen game at Buffalo and won 3-1.  Phillippe Aumont (1.06 ERA) pitched 5.0 shut out innings allowing 3 hits, NO walks, and struck out two.  The bullpen had varying degrees of success, but allowed only one earned run, and picked up 3 holds and a save.  Darin Mastroianni had a 3-hit game.  Maikel Franco went hitless, but Tommy Joseph was 1 for 3 with a double.

Reading beat Harrisburg 4-3.  Tom Windle threw 7.0 solid innngs allowing 1 run on 2 hits and a walk.  He recorded 9 strike outs.  Ethan Stewart put his first two batters on in the eighth and gave way to Stephen Shackleford who finished blowing the save.  He finished the final 2.0 innings though, struck out five, and picked up the win.  Brock Stassi, Gabriel Lino, and Gustavo Pierre each hit a solo home run.  Roman Quinn had been given the day off but entered the game in the eighth as part of a double-switch.  He finished 0 for 1.

Clearwater lost to Tampa, 3-2.  Brandon Leibrandt pitched well but was undone in the 4th inning when a walk, double error by Mitch Walding, and a hit batsman loaded the bases.  The Yankees’ first hit pushed two runs across.  A wild pitch brought home the Yankees’ final run.  Andrew Pullin threw out a runner at home on the only other hit Leibrandt allowed.  His final line was 6.0 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 4 K.  Lee Ridenhour pitched 2.0 shutout innings in relief.  The Threshers only managed 3 hits, none off the Yankees’ starter.  They spent the first part of the game swinging early and often.  They saw only 14 pitches through the first 2.0 innings.

Lakewood lost to Hagerstown, 3-2.  Elniery Garcia allowed 2 singles in the first inning after walking and hitting the leadoff batters.  He retired 12 in a row until a bunt single in the fifth inning.  Another single and a safety squeeze scored the Suns’ third run.  Garcia started the sixth inning but was ejected after hitting the leadoff batter.  Austin Davis and Alexis allowed only one walk over the final 4.0 innings.  Malquin Canelo and Tim Zier had 2-hit games.  Rhys Hoskins had an RBI single.  Canelo had 4 multi-hit games in the series.  Carlos Tocci went 0 for 3.
