Both very deserving and probably the best pair of representatives since Dom Brown went on his own.

  1. I can’t say how excited I am to see Franco play in this game. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a bat in the infield come up from the minors.

  2. This is one year where the Phillies are being represented by real prospects. No Yohan Flande or Julio Rodriguez nonsense.

  3. Very excited about these two, but Cosart and Singleton were better prospects then these two at the time they went.

    2. I’d say projection-wise Cosart and Singleton were comparable, but they weren’t in AA if I recall (might be wrong).

    3. They didn’t go together, it was Cosart and Valle. Brown and Cosart the year before were pretty good but Cosart missed the game due to injury

      1. I think that I would rather have Biddle and Franco over Cosart and Singleton right now. Just my opinion

  4. I think it’s pretty close. singleton has the better hit tool while Franco has more power and more valuable position. Cosart has the higher upside (#2) or a late inning reliever, but I think biddle has the higher floor(innings eater #4)

    1. Agree GTU. Singleton clearly with the better hit tool but if Franco produces 90% of what Singleton does he still comes out on top considering his premium position. If someone were to ask me who I would prefer without any consideration for the big league roster, I would certainly choose Singleton. It’s very, very close though. And that’s more a compliment to Singleton than a slight to Franco

  8. He was so overcome with joy that he had two errors. He then reminded himself that he is Maikel Franco, the second coming and proceeded to hit a home run. He can do no wrong.

  10. Franco is absolutely crushing the ball right now. Sano, who was supposedly the greatest since , well just the greatest , and he still might be ,but Franco at a similar age has absolutely been head and shoulders above that guy since being promoted absolutely my fav at the current time. However Biddle I still really like and he is really only a 16 strikeout performance away from making me switch again. The future is bright with these two. And it is obvious the people on this site myself included are totally stoked on Franco.

    1. Franco is likely a multi year all star at 3B, definitely something to be excited about! I’m not sure singleton will be the same at 1B, the bar is so much higher.
