A thank you is in order

I meant to make this post right after the draft, but life kind of got in the way. Well, better late than never. A few days ago we went over 4 million hits since the inception of the site. I realize a lot of that is people hitting refresh, but every hit counts! In all seriousness, its been a really wild ride over the last 3.5 years, and most all of it has been positive. As I mentioned previously, I’m planning some redesign stuff for the site, but I really like where the content of the site has gone. Over the last 6 months, I’ve received quite a few offers to have ads placed on the site for a fee, and I’ve also received an offer (somewhat sizable too) for the domain name itself. But as I’ve stated in the past, I will never put ads on the site, and I have no plans on selling the domain name or content. The handful of donations I received, and more importantly, the consistently positive direction of the site is enough to keep me happy and motivated. This site would be nothing without the help of my fellow writers, notably Gregg and Todd, who manages all of the transactions and rosters on the pages at the top. Another thanks goes to all of the affiliate writers and those who have written guest articles, as well as those who have helped with the nuts and bolts of the site. And most importantly, a big thank you is in order for all the people who continue to come here, read the stuff we write, engage in solid discussion, and share this site with their friends. Next stop, 5 million!

  9. Thank you James! I know all of us don’t see eye to eye sometimes, but I think most of us can put together logical conversations, which is directly related to the quality of this site, and mainly your posts.

  11. I really don’t comment that much but I am a consistent visitor on this site. I love reading and analyzing phillies prospects and the front office. This site is by far the best that I have encountered regarding prospects and I am grateful that phuturephillies is such a great director of this site. You bring a great perspective and you are always offer a patient perspective. In my opinion you would be a good fit in a major league front office over time. It is amazing what you do with this site and your hard work has truly showed off.

  12. Also it is nice to talk and interact with other knowledgable phillies fans on this site. No one I know knows as much about prospects and baseball as I do and this is the only place where I can talk to other people who have a similar knowledge level on prospects as I do. There are only a few hundred of us who know this information scattered around the country and this site brings us together.

  15. I’m a long time lurker, I gotta say I tell every phills fan i meet that if there interested in who the phills have coming down the pipeline “check out Phuture Phillies. I love this site, check it at least twice a day, and everyone I ever told who took the time to check it out have loved it too. Keep up the great work and thanks!
