Around the System–Outfield
A look at the OF through the system. Just names at the lower two levels. Not enough AB’s for any real analysis.
Lehigh Valley
Domonic Brown, 24, Phils 20th round pick in 2006; .266/.314/.416 in 173 AB’s; 4HR 22 RBI; 4/10 SB; .333 vs. LH, .244 vs RH, .356 with RISP; 7%bb/21% k rates; 45 games in the OF with 6 errors; 3 assists. Hasn’t played since June 14th because of a knee injury. Brown started poorly and was picking it up before his most recent injury. His stock is really dropping with his inability to stay on the field. Nice night from Ervis Manzanillo, second in a row. Perhaps he’s on the right track.
Box Score Recap 6-20-2012
Williamsport Offensive Explosion! Mitch Walding with 4 hits and Larry Greene with his first professional stolen base. And yes, they added the “L” so we know it’s him not Tyler.

One of our newest went yard. They grow up so fast *shed a tiny tear*.
Oh, and Colin Kleven got the win in the SAL all-star game. No Lakewood hitters made the boxscore. And I’m pretty sure none made the roster. Which seems about right. Continue reading Box Score Recap 6-19-2012
Hot or Not
A look back at the last 7 days from 6/13–6.19. Hitters require 11AB’s to be eligible.
Some thoughts: Cody Asche just keeps doing his thing…I cant imagine he will be with CLearwater much longer.
–Anthony Hewitt was perhaps the most productive offensive player in the system during the last time period.
–Cody Overbeck has really leveled off and some thought should certainly be given to getting Darin Ruf some AAA playing time before the end of the year.
–Brody Colvin is back on the not hot list while Jon Pettibone continues with his very solid season.
–When will Justin Friend get a real chance….?
Hot Hitters: Cody Asche (.588, 5R); Chris Duffy (.480); Anthony Hewitt (.438, 3HR 9 RBI); Andreas Blanco (.400, 6R); Zach Collier (.400); Darin Ruf (.357, 4R 2HR 5 RBI); Kevin Frandsen (.360, 8 RBI); Leandro Castro (.350)Sebastian Valle (.333); Brendan Tripp (.333); Tug Hulett (.333) Continue reading Hot or Not

Lots of fun names to see for the first time at Williamsport and in the GCL. I’d say Yan Olmo is the star if the day for that bunch. Other than that, I’ll only point out that Zach Collier is still on fire. Good for him.
