Box Score Recap (8/7/24)

Rain forced a suspension and a postponement as Lehigh Valley was unable to complete even one game of their Scranton series.  Reading lost but Taijuan Walker made a solid rehab start.  Jersey Shore won, led by a 3-run triple by Bryson Ware.  Clearwater won behind a solid six-inning effort by Enrique Segura.  The DSL teams did not play. Box Score Recap (8/6/24)

Rain forced a postponement of Lehigh Valley’s first game in their Scranton series.  Reading lost in a ninth inning walk off although they protected a one-run lead on 2 runs and 2 hits until the ninth.  Jersey Shore scored 10 runs and won when the games was called in the seventh inning.  Clearwater got pummeled but scored 5 late runs.  DSL Red lost; DSL White won. Box Score Recap (8/3/24)

Lehigh Valley lost.  Reading lost.  Jersey Shore lost.  Clearwater won the completion of the suspended game.  The regularly scheduled game was cancelled.  Both DSL teams lost.

Sunday’s games for the IronPigs (in Jacksonville) and the Threshers (at home) have been cancelled.

Lehigh Valley won and is in sole possession of first place.  Reading won.  Jersey Shore lost.  Clearwater was suspended with a 3-run lead.  Four draft picks were in the lineup.  Both DSL teams lost.

Lehigh Valley took two, winning the suspended game then the seven-inning scheduled game.  Reading, Jersey Shore, and Clearwater lost.  DSL Red was cancelled.  DSL White won a rain-shortened game.

Lehigh Valley’s game was suspended in the fourth inning.  and Mick Abel lost.  Reading lost in a walk off.  Jersey Shore and Clearwater lost.  DSL Red won.  DSL White didn’t play.

Box Score Recap (7/30/24)

Lehigh Valley and Mick Abel lost.  Reading walked off in the ninth.  Jersey Shore and Clearwater lost.  DSL Red won.  DSL White lost.

The Phillies traded #11 William Bergolla.  They acquired RHPs Seth Johnson and Moises Chace.   Johnson was assigned to Reading and inserted into the Phillies Top Thirty at #10.  Chace was assigned to Jersey Shore and inserted into the Phillies Top Thirty at #25.  Griff McGarry was bumped from #10 to #11.  #25 thru #29 each dropped a slot (Alexis De La Cruz, Robert Moore, Jalvin Arias, Jose Rodriguez, and Michael Mercado).  Nikau Pouaka-Grego dropped out of the Top Thirty.

Their first game in the Florida Bridge League will be held on Friday, weather permitting.

In a possible show of solidarity with the parent club, Lehigh Valley, Reading, Jersey Shore, and Clearwater all lost.  The DSL Phillies teams were not scheduled to play.  The FCL Phillies season is over.

The prospects covered below have been adjusted with the trade of Samuel Aldegheri and George KlassenJean Cabrera and Aroon Escobar have entered the top thirty, Cabrera at #15 and Escobar at #16.  Everyone behind them dropped 2 spots.

Their first game in the Florida Bridge League on Monday was cancelled.
