Erik Miller was the Phillies 4th round pick (third overall since they forfeited their second round pick when they signed Harper) in the 2019 draft out of Stanford University. Phillies Hire Second Yankee in a Week, More to Come?
The Phillies hired Joe Girardi as their manager today. Earlier this week, they announced the hiring of Brian Barber as their Director of Amateur Scouting. Both have in common that their most recent MLB employer was the New York Yankees.

Survey Says …
Well, I think this has run long enough. The results aren’t going to change much if I let the polling to run any longer. The response in all three polls was similar. Before a hundred votes were cast, the “Go” response for all three was over 60%. Around 200, the percentages held. Saturday, with over 350 votes cast, Klentak’s has dipped below 60%, but MacPhail and Kapler are still over 60%. Continue reading Survey Says …
Open Discussion: Week of October 7th
I have brought the Key Dates section up to date after finding almost all upcoming important dates. It includes the openers for the Australian Baseball League,and the major Latin American Winter Leagues – Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Venezuela hasn’t announced, yet.
