ok I’m going to take the bullet and ask the question – is there anything Scott Kingery is doing at AAA that is intriguing anyone to consider him for a role at the big league level on this team should an opportunity arise? I think this is probably the most success he’s had at AAA but does anything he’s doing giving any reason to hope he might have success going forward at the big league level, either in Philly or elsewhere?

Buddy, …….. I think Scott is doomed by the stigma of his past MLB experience. Unfortunately, I don’t think he will ever be able to escape it in the Phillies organization. He’s not on the 40 and there are people who will need protection in the future, young guys that Scott can’t out distance. It’s sad, but just the way it is …….. maybe when he’s free, but that’s a poke in the dark too.

Agree Skeet……when Whit M was let go and off the 40, Kingery could have been recalled and activated….was not done. Guys like him, and also Darick Hall probably should head for Japan or Korea after the season is completed if not picked up by any other MLB team as free agents. Maybe they will resurrect interest in themselves if the do well overseas…remember Eric Thames of the Tigers, Darin Ruf with the Giants….they got a second chance for awhile coming back from overseas ball.

Darick Hall should definitely go overseas. He’ll make more money too.
Scott Kingery is 30 already, it’s likely too late for him. But don’t shed a tear for him, he got $24M from the Phillies. He has to be the highest earner at Lehigh by a mile.

Does anything he’s doing in the minors this year analytically translate to possible MLB success? (Independent of the stigma)
