As discussed in the box score recap post.
This kind of puts things in to perspective. Thankfully everyone is okay, but wow, I can’t even imagine.

Yikes. To put it mildly.

Talk about a potential major blow to our minor-league system.

It sounds like the only injuries suffered were bumps and bruises, according to Jlasher – which is really amazing. Scary moment, indeed.

Spoke to a player involved in the incident this morning. Everyone is OK, but it was a terrifying crash. Apparently the initial impact knocked the driver out of the seat and there was nobody controlling the bus when it hit the rail. Thank god everyone is OK.

No seat belt?
I’m so glad everyone is ok!

Scary stuff. And it’s pretty hard to believe the way roads are constructed. All that stands between life and death is a pretty flimsy guard rail. Makes on wonder why there isn’t a concrete barrier to keep vehicles involved in accidents from falling from a height.

FLIMSY It stopped a big fat bus, Did the driver try to make a Uturn? It is mass organized confusion there,

They state 2 pitchers plus a strength coach were injured-treated and released from the area hospital. Not guys pitching today, from what they said. No names have been released.

Glad everyone is ok. This sort of thing really goes beyond baseball. Minor league baseball has been quite fortunate to avoid a mass casualty accident with all the travel involved.

Hey, I’m not going to repost it, but I did a little writeup of the (pre-crash) Williamsport game in today’s box score report thread, if anyone is interested.

I drive all day and some nights. There are no words to express the stupidity out there. People are learning to drive from people who can’t drive and every generation gets worse.
Thankful everyone is safe but what about the person in the SUV

This reminds me of (almost) the Manchester United Plane Crash – except that would be on a completely different level – they were the top national league’s champions that year though-
