Profiles…we’ve got profiles.

Dave’s machine-like pace continues, as he cranks out three more profiles, including Michael Schwimer, BJ Rosenberg, and Julio Rodriguez. Ryan also chips in with a Jon Singleton profile. If you have anything to add or want clarification of any of the info on any of the profiles, please ask on the specific profile post and we’ll address it. Thanks!

3 more profiles added

A huge thanks to Dave for all of the work he’s put in helping create these profiles. You can find newly minted writeups for Scott Mathieson, Perci Garner and Austin Hyatt by clicking the links, or by using the “Profiles” page at the top of the site. My plan is to keep these profiles updated going forward, and to expand them with additional content. Also, if you stumble across random articles about players, and they have pages created, you can leave the links in the comments of the profiles, and I’ll eventually add a section for each player for all news links and stuff like that. Enjoy.

Harold Garcia easily takes the 21st spot, meaning we have 9 spots left to go. Going forward, I’m going to attempt to add more names who are mentioned as a write-in, just because we have limited spots left, and its better to put more choices on there than leave someone off until we get to #29, when they may have no chance to get voted in. I’ve limited it to 9 names per spot till we’ve gotten to this range, since it never seemed necessary to expand. But with spots running low, we’ll give it a try.

The voting in the run-off for spot 19 was obviously being manipulated to keep it as even as possible, there’s no way that after 500 votes, they should be within 3 or 4 total. At the time of this writing, Austin Hyatt had the lead, so he gets it. At this point, we’re splitting hairs anyway. I actually figured out how to see the answers given for the write-in votes. Scott Mathieson and Derrick Mitchell (I still don’t get this) had the most during the regular voting for 19. So I’ll add them. I personally didn’t even consider Mathieson for my personal top 30. He’s under the 50 inning mark, but I think he may be over the service time limit MLB uses to determine rookie eligibility. I guess if you really like him that much and believe he belongs in the 30, you can vote for him. Or Derrick Mitchell. Or whoever. Its your show!

2011 Reader Top 30, Runoff for #19

With 1 vote separating them (at the time I’m writing this), we’ll go to a run-off vote for spot #19 between Austin Hyatt and Cesar Hernandez. The winner is #19, the “loser” is #20, and then we move on to #21. So, place your vote.
