Box Score Recap (7/14/24)

Lehigh’s pitchers tossed a two-hitter and lost.  Reading walked off with a win.  Jersey Shore won.  Clearwater was one-hit and lost.  The FCL and DSL don’t play on Sunday.  The affiliated teams are off until Friday.

Box Score Recap (7/13/24)

Our teams won 7 of 8 games on Saturday.  Lehigh won behind some solid pitching.  Reading, too, in a 1-0, 3-hit shutout.  Jersey romped to a big win.  Clearwater tossed a 3-hitter.  The FCL Phillies split winning a 3-hitter.  Both DSL teams won.

Box Score Recap (7/12/24)

Lehigh Valley won and slipped over .500 for the first time since they were 7-6 on April 16th.  Reading lost their fourth in a row.  They are 2-8 this month.  Jersey Shore lost stopping a four-game win streak.  Clearwater lost again.  They are also 2-8 for the month.  The FCL Phillies won with a couple rehabbers chipping in.  Both DSL Phillies teams lost.

Samuel Aldegheri made his debut with Reading.  Weston Wilson was recalled replacing Whit Merrifield who was released.  And, Justin Crawford was promoted to Reading.

Box Score Recap (7/11/24)

Lehigh Valley won reaching .500 for the season.  Reading lost.  Jersey Shore won.  Clearwater split, losing a game where they outhit their opponent, 8 to 3.  The FCL Phillies were rained out.  The DSL Phillies Red won.  The DSL Phillies White won by shutout holding their opponent to 3 hits while getting two hits of their own.

Lehigh Valley won handily; Scotty JetPax had a slam.  Reading lost.  Jersey Shore won handily, too.  Clearwater lost the completed suspended game only to have the scheduled game suspended.  The FCL Phillies and both DSL teams were off.

Box Score Recap (7/9/24)

Lehigh Valley lost when their rally fell short.  Reading got crushed.  Jersey Shore walked off.  Clearwater was suspended while trailing.  The FCL Phillies lost in ten.  The DSL Phillies played each other and were suspended with White leading.

Box Score Recap (6/25/24)

Lehigh Valley won again and is seriously creeping toward .500.  Reading won and ditto.  Jersey Shore and Clearwater lost.   The FCL Phillies won their third in a row.  DSL Phillies White beat DSL Phillies Red.

SP Kolby Allard (Lehigh Valley), Lachlan Wells (Reading), and Mavis Graves (Clearwater) combined to pitch 18-2 innings for their respective teams without issuing a walk.  Allard (6.2 innings, 2 runs) and Wells (7.0 innings, 3 runs) turned in quality starts while Graves went five allowing one run and striking out ten.

Lehigh Valley was done in by 11 runs in the fifth and sixth innings.  Reading won in 11 innings.  Three Jersey Shore pitchers combined on a one-hit victory.  Clearwater saw their eight-game win streak come to an end.   The FCL Phillies and both DSL teams lost.

Box Score Recap (6/21/24)

All five stateside teams won for the first time ever! Okay, for the first time this year.  Lehigh Valley won their fourth in a row.  Reading won.  Jersey Shore won their fourth in their last five games.  Clearwater won their eighth in a row.  Kehden Hettiger had himself a game.  The FCL Phillies won, Pan Wen-Hui and Dominic Pipkin threw rehab innings.  The DSL Phillies Red split a doubleheader.  The DSL Phillies White won.

The Phillies pitching staffs were pretty stingy with free passes last night.  Lehigh Valley issued 2 walks.  Reading none.  Jersey Shore four.  And, Clearwater two.

They bullpens were efficient.  They combined to throw 15 innings allowing just one run.
