Before we dig into tonight’s box score, we may as well start with the highlight of the night. Michael Taylor hit for the cycle, going 5/5 with 2 doubles, a triple, and a home run, his 4th in 98 AAA AB’s. The huge game jumps his AAA average up to .286, he’s now at .325 over his last 10, and for the season (AA+AAA), he’s at .322/.398/.550 with 28 2B, 5 3B, 19 HR, 20 SB (20/25), 47 BB and 68 K. A truly awesome season to date, and the scary thing is that he might not even be the best outfield prospect in the system. Now, onto the box scores in more detail…

Box Score Roundup, 8/11
Before getting to tonight’s games, I wanted to post this link that was posted in yesterday’s comments. Im not sure who this fellow is, what kind of background he has, but the info provided is solid. He basically confirms the reports on Matt Way; very good pitchability and command, but fringy raw stuff. The margin for error is reduced the higher you climb up the ladder and the more experienced the hitters are. We’ll see how he adjusts. Now, onto the scores…
Box Score Roundup, 8/10
Lets take a look at last night’s games

Box Score Roundup, 8/9
This is something I wanted to start doing at the beginning of the season, but one thing led to another, and its now August and the season is almost over. gregg has been kind enough to try and start discussion threads, but as I mentioned in my site note, even those threads are out of control. So to help focus the discussion, I figured that I’d put a post up every night when all of the games have concluded with links to the box scores and then notes from each game. That will give everyone some talking points to focus on, and hopefully we can remove some of the noise from the site. So check below for our first installment

After a few days of testing, I think I’m going to make a slight change. I’m only going to write the post for the day, like today, and then tomorrow instead of writing a seperate post to recap the games and one to preview that day’s games, I’ll just update the post from the day before. It will make the page look less cluttered and should be easier to find what you’re looking for if you want to go back and search a particular day’s games. So, if you’re interested to see what happened last night (4/6) just scroll down and check yesterday’s post, all the stats have been added.
