Lehigh Valley (31-35, 65-74, seventh in their division, 7 games remaining) Lost to Scranton, 10-1. Seth Johnson continued his recent struggles. He pitched four innings and gave up 5 runs on 8 hits and 6 walks. He struck out six and gave up a HR. Zach Haake pitched 1.2 innings and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and a walk. He walked one and gave up a HR. Michael Mercado stranded 2 inherited runners and pitched 1.1 innings. He gave up one run on 2 hits striking out one. Griff McGarry pitched one innings giving up one run on 2 hits and a walk. He struck out 2 and gave up a HR.
Scott Kingery gave the IronPigs a brief lead with a lead off HR (25) in the first inning.
Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa both made rehab starts for the IronPigs. Bohm went 2-4 with a double and played third base. Sosa went 0-4 and played second base. Bohm played all nine innings; Sosa was replaced after batting in the seventh.

He allowed 3 hits, walked none, and struck out four. Nelson Alvarez pitched one scoreless inning striking out two. Tristan Garnett pitched a scoreless inning. Andrew Schultz pitched a scoreless inning striking out one.
The game remained scoreless until Reading scored a run in the fifth inning. Cade Fergus and Trent Farquhar opened the inning with back-to-back singles. Robert Moore sacrificed the runners over to second and third. Gabriel Rincones brought home the run with a sacrifice fly. That run held up through eight innings. They opened up a 4-run lead with 3 runs in the ninth. With 2 outs, Farquhar singled and Moore walked. A passed ball moved the runners to second and third. Rincones plated both with a 2-run single. He scored on an RBI double by Carson Taylor.

Not quite. The IronPigs have another week of games left. I think they are meaningful in the division. They play Worcester (BOS) who is tied for the division lead with Scranton (NYY) who plays Buffalo, the eighth-place team.
