Saltiban’s two homers. A lot to like in this swing. Really quite load. Short but powerful stroke. His April wasn’t good but he looks like he is getting comfortable.

Not a lot of motion which is rare to see these days. It’s a short toe tap and he’s ready to hit. That will serve him well as he progresses.

I had same thought. That is a good swing that will play at higher levels.

Maves had trouble holding his velo yesterday. Was 93 in his first IP but down to 89 by his 5th IP. He’s young so may be a strength issue. But something to watch. He seems to have good off-speed but I do think that 89 mph will play at MLB level.

He’s only 20 and at Clearwater, he’s not sniffing the bigs for at least 2-3 years minimum. He has time to get stronger.

Definitely. And he is lefty.

AAA is really short on pitching. Mercado is our only reliable arm though.
After very slow starts, Saltibon, Rincon and Bergolla are all finding their strokes.

I think you’re worrying about this too much. The Phillies still have Turnbull. Add in Mercado and that type of depth is probably in the top 3 of baseball.
Heck the Braves lost Strider and they’re still hoping that somebody will be consistent enough to stick in their rotation.
