Here’s the poll for the Readers’ Top Thirty vote for the #7 prospect.
Young, Taiwanese infielder Lee Hao Yu was your selection as the #6 prospect. He received 52 of 75 votes cast. Here are the complete final results.

Andrew Baker for me. He may very well be in our BP this season.

Is Darick Hall still rookie eligible?

Short answer, yes. Correct answer, no. I misread his at bats and calculated his days on the roster incorrectly. Good catch. Thank you. Honestly, I didn’t want to add him because of his age and ML experience. But he was next based on his MiL performance and the “system” to rank players for inclusion in the polls.
I didn’t think he would get many votes, but he has gotten more than I expected, So, I removed him from this poll.
Thanks again, WCP.

Of the guys on this list, I’d go with Alex McFarlane. He and Christian McGowan (not on this list) could work their way to the top of the next tier of Phillies pitching prospects after Painter/Abel/McGarry.

Jaydenn Estanista and Micah Ottenbreit are right behind McFarlane and McGowan on the Phillies SP prospect list IMO, although younger and further away.

Estanista is due to be added soon. I really like him and Ottenbreit. But, Ottenbreit had surgery last season and will likely be on the slow path back on rehab.

McGowan has pitched 12.1 innings in 2 seasons since being drafted. He spent most of last season on the 60-day IL. If he had TJ, he’ll likely not be back until mid-2023. He’s not likely to make any polls this year.

Yeah, Jim. McGowan and Ottenbreit are each recovering from TJ from what I’ve read. Not sure when they’ll be back.

Maybe it is a matter of perspective, but I am confused why Song (though he is not currently eligible to play due to his military commitment) shouldn’t be a prospect. And in the same vein, McGowan and/or Ottenbreit. J Crawford is listed in this poll as a top 5 prospect based on less than 60 at bats and I am just confused on how his projection justifies his ranking but those others might not be worthy of similar consideration

I(Heart)…..you are correct, it is a matter of perspective.
For virtually all it comes down to ceiling vs proximity.

Baker, Miller and Morales all have a chance to make the 26 at some point next season. To what degree will they have success? Tough to know. Bergolla, Perez, and Pouaka-Grego all did very well last season but are still very young and very far away. Several others have high draft status but haven’t produced in the field yet. In theory they have a high ceiling but we haven’t seen much yet. It’s always a fun discussion combining these different thoughts to arrive at our list.
I actually went with Rincones here over Boyd but there’s many choices that are defendable.

I went with Morales. His AFL season was really good and the stuff has always been good. Because there is no other remaining prospect that is especially close or has shown especially awesome stats in extended play, I went with Morales. He could be an important part of the Phillies’ BP this year.

Yes…Morales could be a difference maker in the pen this season.
He gets some semblance of control it could be lights out with that slider of his.

I closed the poll after 108 votes. This is the first poll where the winner won’t have 50%, but Andrew Baker led the whole way.
