Today Fangraphs (@marchulet) released their Top 100 prospects. The Phillies had 3 in the Top 50 with Franco at 27, Biddle at 40, and Crawford at 50. The list is here http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-top-100-prospects/, and is quite literally just a list.
If you want more detail, Marc’s Phillies Top 15 can be found here http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-top-10-prospects-philadelphia-phillies/
Another one very high on Severino. If his velocity and movement are as good as he says they are, I’d have him up there, too.

3 in the top 50 is an extremely good showing. J.P. Crawford is a super prospect even if he just develops as expected. If he develops any type of power, you could be looking at a future top 10 in baseball prospect.

Is there anyone else from the 2013 draft class in the top 50 or is it just JP Crawford?

2013 Draftees: (draft pick)
6 – Bryant (2)
16 – Gray (3)
26 – Appel (1)
32 – Stewart (4)
42 – Shipley (15)
45 – Frazier (5)
48 – Meadows (9)
50 – Crawford (16)
65 – Moran (6)
70 – Peterson (12)
79 – Smith (11)
81 – Ervin (27)

That puts Crawford #8 of the 13 that made the list. The only guys drafted ahead who didn’t make the list were Dozier (8 – over draft for slot reasons), Bickford (10 – didn’t sign), Trey Ball (7), and Hunter Renfroe (13)

Phils sign Burnett to one year deal! Better than average starting staff, now.
Like ’14 better.
