  1. Elarton was a great story early on, but has been a disaster on the mound the past 3 months. I suspect he’ll make it through the season if he’s lasted this long, but it would nice to see a pitcher who can give the team a chance during a pennant race. Hyatt with all his struggles is an improvement over Elarton. The Phil’s brass did a good deed here, now let him go

  2. Has anyone seen Hudson play? Hes still young-“ish”. Is he any type of MLR prospect? Obvy, he can steal bases but .250-ish in AAA doesnt cut it, unless he’s a gold-glover type CFer and great base stealer, maybe…Like a 5th OFer?

  3. What’s with Cloyd lately? He doesn’t seem to be quite as sharp in the, past 2 or 3 starts, more BB, and more HR surrendered. His Era jumped from 1.9x to 2.3x. & settling at 2.27
Yeah- 2.27 is a great Era but, ..

    Thoughts?

    1. Who would have predicted that a guy whose peripherals are consistent with an ERA of 3.92 would see his ERA regress to over 2.00? It does appear quite odd.

    2. *Repost:
Funny that his “less than sharp” outings are still all quality starts, so can’t complain about that. It’s probably fatigue though, he’s pitched 6 or more innings in all but 1 outing I think, bringing his IP to 160 on the year.

  4. Hoping Cesar is making the needed adjustments to AAA. He’s got a 4 game hit streak but they’re all 1-for-4s. He is making contact though. Only 2 Ks, 1 BB in that time.
