Thank you again for all of the participation and discussion. Feel free to continue discussing the list here.
There’s a lot of good players that should be on there. If your not going to do it the right way don’t do it at all. I’m sure you have all your friends voting the way you would like to see it.

Ummm…what?
I had zero influence over this list. I started with 10 common names that everyone knew would be on a list of 30. From there, I added people that were written in. I did not vote a single time in this, and did not comment at all on the voting results. And my list looks a lot different than this list. The whole purpose of this was for readers to vote, not me.

Sorry player hater but it was not a D’Arby Myers fanboy, you can vote for whomever you want. You know that everyone is not going to make the list so why get mad. Sorry to dissapoint you 3up3kkk but it was a not a D’Arby Myers fanboy my friend.

Yep, I can vote for whomever I want as can you. The difference is that I don’t accuse the host of rigging the vote when my guys don’t make it. I certainly don’t get mad about the results.

There is no difference, we did not make accusations about the host rigging the vote either. So don’t make false accusations about D’Arby Myers fanboy. We have been a fan of this site for years and appreciate the host for having this site.

Thanks for this PP, it is always a lot of fun. It also provides a chance to learn and think more about guys who I have less developed opinions on.
The list definitely has a lot of potential for volatility over the course of this year. Lots of question marks here. Let’s hope one or two guys can do what May and Galvis did last year (i.e. perform well on the field and improve in an area of weakness), and one of the new draftees can do what Biddle did last year.
Names where I had the most discrepancy compared to the list:
– Austin Wright (I have him 7 spots higher)
– Carlos Tocci (I have him 6 spots higher)
– LGJ (I have him 6 spots lower)
– Roman Quinn (I have him 6 spots lower)
– Colvin (I have him 5 spots lower)
– Tyler Greene (I have him 5 spots lower)
– Perci Garner (I have him 5 spots higher)

What happened to guys who have already proven things like Overbeck, Rozz, Mitchell, and so on, there a lot of guys who seem to know nothing about Baseball

Yes, they have proven things, like they aren’t really exciting prospects. Look, I root for these guys too, but everybody loves potential. These guys just don’t have potential. Mitchell maybe, but certainly not Rizz and Overbeck. They play first base, and to play first base in the major leagues you need to have crazy offensive prowess. Look at the list of top 1B prospects in all of baseball and you will see one thing in common…they all have monster offensive numbers. Overbeck and Rizz…not so much.

I actually like Rizz and Mitchell more than most. But GregA pretty much hit the nail on the head. Those guys look like they could maybe make the majors as back-ups. Best of luck to them.

Well we do agree on something, there certainly are people who know nothing about baseball.

Well,
Then is YOUR fault they were not voted in.
You should have made informed posts that presented the case for their inclusion via supportable arguments.
You will find that when posters did this, many players quickly gained votes during that round or the next.
I’ve read the posts, and NOBODY many any efforts to support the players you mentioned in any serious fashion.
Funny how you post “Anonymous”.

Since this is the reader top 30 wrap-up, this seems like a good place to post my personal top 30. I changed my rating of two players while the reader voting went along. I dropped both Julio Rodriguez and Jiwan James out of my top10-12, after rethinking.

Curious, with Hyatt getting the ST invite, does that impact this list at all? I don’t know what contributed to his late season success but 5-1 with a sub-3.00 ERA after the all-star break in a hitter friendly AA league is pretty good… not sure if he figured out a secondary pitch or if, perhaps, he just made the adjustment.
