Thank you, and Happy New Year

Just wanted to quickly say thanks for the continued support here in 2008, and thank you for continuing to come back. 2008 saw the site pick up considerable momentum, peaking right around draft time. The site basically started at the end of December, 2006, so its essentially 2 years in the books now. Some numbers for 2008

Total hits: 1,125,603 (up from 514,000 in 2007)
Busiest day: 14,098 (June 5th, draft day)
Busiest month: July; 183,767 (busiest month in 2007 was June, with 78,561 hits)
Highest average hits per day: July; 5,928 hits per day

Total blog hits since inception; 1,640,739

Thank you again for coming, thanks for spreading the word, and I look forward to an even better 2009. Happy New Year.

  1. Impressive, most impressive. I can’t believe there was a time where I didn’t check this site daily. BTW, you can thank Google Search for having you as one of the top sites that shows up anytime you google any Phillies prospect…that’s I found PP.

This is easily the best site on Phillies minorleague baseball on the net.

  2. Kudos James. This site is informative, and for the most part, pretty civil with the discussions. I love coming here, my interest in following the farm clubs has increased tenfold, and I actually sound like I know what I’m talking about when I inform coworkers and friends about Phils minor leaguers.

Thanks again, and Happy New Year. I’ll hoist a Sam Adams in your honor tonight.

  3. I think the message board is a great way to kick off Year 3 BTW. I’m gonna predict an increase in traffic just because of that…and from that WFC the Phils just picked up.

  4. I thought I knew a lot about the minors. but coming on here I realize how much I didn’t know. I appreciate how the people and you have help me to understand the draft. And how prospects are rated and moved up and down.

  5. Thanks for all you do. People can always tell a labor of love when they see it, which is why I predict the site’s growth will continue in ’09.

  6. A truly terrific site. I am proud to just include my two cents every once in a while, I can only imagine how you must feel towards your creation. I hope the site’s direction matches that of your dreams, and that phuturephillies.com reaches all of your goals in 2009. Happy new year to everyone, be safe.

  7. Great job on this Awesome site.

By the way, was the busiest day this yr the day of the Blanton trade?

  8. I think that was probably the angriest day…

BTW, crow tastes darn good…especcially after that Game 4 HR.

Though I will say I was cautiously defending the trade at the time.

  9. Haha I hated it, but that crow was goddamned delicious. I hope average Joe serves me a whole buffet-load next season.

Congrats on the numbers james… we all know you deserve it—— I’m gonna start this whole discussion again and say that you should at least put one ad on the site. I probably won’t click it but you should get some sort of satisfaction from the ridiculous amount of time you put into this site. Satisfaction that doesn’t involve moderating the opinions of the uninformed (often me.)
